Understanding and Managing Distress Behaviours

The course materials for my Trauma Informed Training  have been independently assessed and accredited by CPD UK

Aim:

To have a better understanding of why a child is behaving aggressively. Discover what the function of the behaviour is and reduce risks. Plan for improved strategies to keep everyone safe and create positive change. 

 

Objectives:

• Learn why children have particular distress behaviours in school and what they might mean

• Consider adult responses and reactions in times of children's distress

• Looking at ways to support children to regulate their emotions better
